A free analysis of your website
Wondering why your website isn’t bringing in much? Send us its address and tell us what you’d like to improve. We go through it by hand, page by page, and send back a written analysis: what works, what hurts, and where to start. It’s free, it commits you to nothing, and it’s written by the person who builds websites all day — not by a tool that spits out a score out of 100.
It is not an automated sixty-page report — Free online tools produce dozens of pages of warnings with no hierarchy, a good part of which does not even apply to your site. We do not do that. You get a few pages read and written by a person, not a software export with your logo pasted on top.
It is not an excuse to sell you something — The analysis is complete even if you never call us back. We do not hold half the findings for a “paid version”, and nobody is going to phone you three times to follow up. If you want us to handle the work, you are the one who asks.
It is not a guarantee of results — Nobody can promise you a position in Google, and anyone who does is making it up. What an honest analysis can do is show you where your site loses visitors and calls, and which fixes have the best chance of helping. The rest depends on execution and on your competition.
Request your free analysis
Two pieces of information are enough: your website address and what you would like to improve. The more specific you are about the goal — more calls, more quote requests, showing up in your town, selling online — the more useful the analysis will be. We reply by email within a few business days.

What we actually look at
Structure and site architecture
We look at how your pages are organised: how many clicks it takes to reach what you sell, which pages are orphaned, which menus send a visitor into a dead end. A structure that confuses a human confuses Google too, and it is often the most profitable thing to fix first.
Speed and performance
We measure load time on phone and desktop, and above all we look for the cause: images far too heavy, a stack of plugins working against each other, hosting that can no longer keep up. Knowing your site is slow is useless. Knowing why it is slow is not.
Content and keywords
We read your copy the way a customer would: can you tell in ten seconds what you sell, to whom, and where? Then we look at the words people actually type to find your service, and we tell you which ones appear nowhere on your site.
The mobile version
A large share of your visitors arrive from a phone — your own analytics will tell you. So we open your site on a real handset: buttons too small, text overflowing, a form impossible to fill with a thumb, a phone number that will not dial in one tap. Those are calls lost in silence.
Local search and your Google listing
If you serve a region, we check your Google Business Profile: categories, services, photos, reviews and replies, and whether your address and phone number match the site. We also look at whether your pages name the towns you genuinely serve, or only “the greater Montréal area”.
The technical side
Title tags and descriptions, heading hierarchy, structured data, sitemap, robots file, pages indexed or not, broken redirects, security certificate. None of it is visible to a visitor, and that is often exactly where the errors hide that block everything else.
What you actually get
A written read, not a generated file
You get a short document, written after browsing your site the way a customer would. It names your pages, your copy and your specific problems, not generic categories. If a sentence on your home page is hurting your credibility, we quote it back to you.
Priorities, in order
Thirty recommendations of equal weight never get done. So we sort them: what blocks you, what pays off, what can wait. You know where to start on Monday morning, and what you can ignore guilt-free for the next six months.
Plain language, no jargon
No “degraded mobile LCP”. We write it as: “your main image takes several seconds to appear on a phone because the file is far too heavy”. You should be able to understand and decide without calling us back to translate the report.
What is free to fix, and what takes real work
A good share of the problems you can fix yourself in one evening: rewrite a title, compress images, complete your Google listing. We separate those wins clearly from the ones that genuinely need a developer. You are free to do all of it without us.
Why an analysis written by hand
Because a tool measures, but does not understand
An automated analysis tool does one thing very well: check rules. It will tell you a tag is missing, an image has no alt text, a title is too long. Those are true facts, and sometimes useful ones. But the tool has no idea what you sell, to whom, in which region, or what a customer wonders about before picking up the phone. It does not know that your most profitable page is buried three levels deep in your menu.
A human who knows the trade sees something else. He sees that your services page mixes three different audiences, that your form asks for eight fields where two would do, that your home page never says which town you work in. No tool flags that, because those are not technical errors: they are communication errors. And they are almost always the ones that cost the most.
Because a list of thirty problems helps nobody
The classic trap of the audit is completeness. The longer the report, the more serious it looks — and the less usable it becomes. A small-business owner who receives sixty pages of recommendations does nothing, because he does not know where to start and does not want to pick wrong. The document ends up in a folder, and the site stays exactly as it was.
We prefer the opposite: few points, sorted by real impact, with a sense of the work each one takes. Three fixes applied beat thirty fixes listed. If only one thing deserves your attention this month, we say so plainly, even if that makes the analysis look short. We would rather hand you one useful page than an impressive document.
Because it is free, and here is why
We do not bill for the analysis because it serves us too. Looking at the sites of garages, real estate offices, renovation contractors and small businesses on the South Shore is the best market research we could do on our own trade. We learn what is being done, what is being done badly, and what people are actually searching for. It is an honest trade: your site teaches us something, and you leave with a useful read.
And yes, there is commercial logic behind it — we will not pretend otherwise. Some people will read the analysis, decide the work is bigger than they want to handle, and ask us for an estimate — at the same rate as everyone else, $100 an hour. Others will fix everything themselves and never write to us again. Both outcomes suit us, and that is exactly what lets us be straight with you: we have nothing to gain by scaring you.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes: no credit card, no trial period, no full version to unlock. You send your website address, you receive the analysis by email, and it stops there if that is what you want. What costs money is the repair work, if you decide to hand it to us — at $100 an hour, the rate posted for everyone. The analysis itself costs you nothing and commits you to nothing.
What exactly do I receive?
A written document, sent by email, covering your site structure, its speed, its content, its mobile version, your local search presence and the technical side. Every point names the page involved and explains the problem in plain language, with a sense of the work required. Recommendations are sorted by priority, and we separate what you can fix yourself from what needs a developer. It is not a tool export: it is written by hand.
How long does it take?
A few business days. The analysis is done by hand by one person, so we do not promise a 24-hour turnaround we could not consistently meet. If your site is large or the week is busy, it can take a little longer. You get a confirmation right away, and the analysis follows by email. If we need a detail about your goal along the way, we write to you.
Am I going to get sold something?
No. You receive the full analysis, with nothing held back for later, and there is no automated follow-up call behind it. We send the document, and what happens next is up to you. If you want us to fix what we found, you ask and we send a written estimate. Otherwise we do not push. An analysis used as an excuse for a sales pitch is worth nothing, and we would rather not write one.
Does it work for a WordPress, Wix or Shopify site?
Yes, and for any other platform. The analysis looks at what a visitor and a search engine see: the structure, the copy, the speed, the mobile version, the tags. None of that depends on the technology behind it. The platform only changes how you fix things: on WordPress we talk plugins and theme, on Shopify theme and apps, on Wix the settings available to you. We take into account what your platform actually lets you do.
What if my site is fine?
Then we will tell you so. It happens, and it is not bad news for us. In that case the analysis becomes a list of finer adjustments: pages to add to cover searches you are not capturing, content to refresh, a Google listing to complete, internal links to rework. Nobody benefits from inventing problems. A healthy site with two or three recommendations is an honest analysis, not a failed one.
How is this different from an automated analysis tool?
A tool checks technical rules and gives you a score. That is useful, and we use that kind of tool ourselves to measure certain things. But a tool does not know what you sell, to whom, or in which region. It will not see that your most profitable page cannot be found in the menu, that your home page copy names no town, or that your form discourages people before the end. Here a human reads your site and writes the conclusions, with the judgement that implies.
