Our work

Sites we designed, delivered, and still maintain today.

A local web agency for businesses that want to be found

Actif Marketing is a web design and SEO agency based in Sainte-Julie, on Montréal’s South Shore. We work with Quebec small and mid-sized businesses that sell a real service to real customers: garages and dealerships, real estate brokers, renovation contractors, local shops and professionals. Our work covers everything that happens between the moment someone searches for your service on Google and the moment they pick up the phone: the website itself, the content, SEO and Google Ads. One point of contact, a clear plan, and decisions made with you rather than for you.

A beautiful website that shows up nowhere is an expense, not an investment. Most businesses that call us already have a site: it looks fine, it’s online, and it generates no calls because nobody finds it. That’s why we never separate design from search. Page structure, loading speed, the keywords your customers actually type, your Google Business Profile, content that answers real questions: all of it gets decided while the site is being built, not six months later. Nobody can guarantee first position on Google. What we do control is building a site designed to be found.

We’re a small local team, and that’s on purpose. When you call, you talk to the person working on your file, not an account manager who has to check with someone else. We know the South Shore, and we understand what it’s like to run a business with a set budget and no marketing department. Compared to a large agency, you gain speed and direct access. Compared to a do-it-yourself website builder, you gain years of experience, copy written to convert, and a site that meets Google’s technical standards. And you own everything, from the domain name to the content.

What we do

Behind Actif Marketing

No outsourcing.
Everything is made here, in Quebec.

Dozens of sites, from the simplest to the heaviest: the veterinary clinic or the construction contractor who needs a clear, fast presence, all the way to an online store carrying more than half a million products. Those are two different technical worlds. We work in both.

Nothing is sent offshore. The design, the development, the copywriting and the SEO all happen here, done by people you can call and meet. No time zones to work around, no middleman relaying your feedback to a team you will never see.

We are demanding about it, and we own that. About the design, about the visual detail, about loading speed. A beautiful site that crawls, or a fast site that looks like 2012 — both are failed sites.

How your project unfolds

Five steps, a clear timeline, and nobody disappearing halfway through.

01

Discovery call

We start with a conversation, not a form. We want to understand what you sell, to whom, what’s already working and what’s costing you customers. We look at your current site, your local competitors and what comes up when someone searches for your service on Google. By the end of the call, you know what we recommend, why, and what it involves on your side.

02

Strategy and keywords

Before we design anything, we identify the searches your customers actually make in your industry and your region. Those keywords determine the site structure, the pages we need to create and the order of priorities. You get a simple plan: which pages, what message each one carries, and what action we want the visitor to take.

03

Design and copywriting

We design the layouts and write the content — you don’t have to supply any text. This is the stage where most web projects stall, so we take it on ourselves. You review, you comment, we adjust. The result: a site that sounds like you, with pages built to move the visitor toward contacting you.

04

Build and SEO foundations

We build the site — fast, mobile-friendly, easy to manage — then put the SEO foundations in place: titles and metadata, structured data, sitemap, redirects from old URLs, Google Analytics and Search Console. Nothing is left for later. On launch day, your site is already ready to be indexed.

05

Launch, training and follow-up

We put the site live, check every page, then train you so you can handle your own updates. After that, we watch what happens in Search Console and adjust: new pages, new content, Google Ads campaigns. A website needs to stay alive, and we stay available for that.

Why local businesses work with us

Four concrete differences, not slogans.

A professional website in 14 days, at a fixed price

With Ready14, our division dedicated to turnkey websites, your site is delivered in 14 days for a fixed price agreed in advance: design, content, SEO and launch included. No hourly billing that swells along the way, no project dragging on for months. You know what you’re paying and when your site will be online.

SEO is in the site, not in the next invoice

Many agencies deliver a website, then sell you search optimisation separately. With us, page structure, keywords, speed and structured data are part of the build. It’s also the cheapest way to do things properly: rebuilding a badly structured site always costs more than getting it right the first time.

We write your copy

The number one reason a web project drags on is the content the client is supposed to provide and never sends. We write it for you, based on what you tell us during the discovery call. You review it, correct anything that doesn’t sound like you, and the project keeps moving. That’s all we ask of you.

A local team that answers the phone

Our office is in Sainte-Julie and we know the South Shore and Montérégie market: your customers, your competitors, the searches they run. When you call, someone answers, and you talk to a person who already knows your file. No ticket system, no time zone on the other side of the world, no middleman.

The questions people ask before they call

Straight answers, no jargon. If your question isn’t here, send us an email.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the number of pages, the features and the amount of content work. A brochure site for a small business doesn’t cost the same as a site with online booking, an online store or a vehicle inventory. That’s why we don’t publish a price grid: it wouldn’t mean anything in your case. Instead, we do a discovery call, then send a written quote with a clear amount and a list of exactly what’s included. With Ready14, the price is fixed and known upfront, because the scope is too.

How long does it take?

With Ready14, your site goes live in 14 days from the moment we have the starting information. For a custom project — more pages, specific features, migrating an existing site — plan for a few extra weeks. The single biggest thing that slows a web project down is waiting on content and approvals. Since we write the copy and give you a schedule with firm review dates, things keep moving.

Is SEO included?

Yes. SEO foundations are part of every site we deliver: page structure based on the keywords in your market, titles and metadata, loading speed, mobile version, structured data, sitemap and Google Search Console setup. That’s included, not an add-on. What becomes a separate mandate is ongoing search work: new content, local pages, links, tracking rankings month after month.

Can I edit the site myself?

Yes. Your site comes with a simple admin interface: you change a piece of text, a photo or a price, you add a blog post or a service page, all without touching code. We train you at launch so you’re self-sufficient for day-to-day changes. And if you’d rather not touch it, we handle it for you — plenty of clients simply email us their changes.

Do I actually own the site?

Yes, completely. The domain name, the hosting, the content, the images, the Google Analytics and Search Console accounts: everything is in your name. We don’t hold your site hostage, and there’s no mandatory licence to keep using it. If one day you decide to work with someone else, you leave with your credentials and your files. We’d rather keep clients because they’re happy with the service, not because they’re stuck.

Do you work with businesses outside the South Shore?

Yes. Our office is in Sainte-Julie and a good share of our clients are on the South Shore and in Montréal, but we work with businesses across Quebec and elsewhere in Canada: almost everything happens by video call, phone and email. We serve clients in both French and English, and we can deliver your site in a bilingual version if your customers need it.
